Mrs. Barbara Yeomans, wife of Judge Erastus Yeomans, died Sunday afternoon. She was found lying dead on the floor toward evening, having fallen down, while alone, in a paralytic fit. She had a stroke of paralysis several years ago. Deceased was the second wife of Mr. Yeomans. Her first husband was Mr. ------- Dunham, of Orleans. She was the mother of Salem Dunham, of this city.

Individual Note: Salem moved with his parents when he was a teenager from New York to Ionia County, Michigan. When Cornelius died in 1863, Salem took over operation of the family farm.

Individual Note: On February 28, 1862, Onslow joined Company A, Seventh Regiment, TN Volunteer Infantry in the Union Army during the Civil War. He recruited his three brothers and received $25 for each of them. He was discharged in Nashville, TN, July 12, 1865. Onslow was a farmer and a Baptist Minister. He helped start Cedar Springs Church in Bradley County, TN, and Frazier's Chapel in Cohutta, Georgia.
When Onslow died he left two sons under age, and his wife received a widow's pension. He claimed to be the father of 30 children.
