Individual Note: From Heritage of the Hills, p. 234: "John was a partner in the Pearl Grocery with one of the Ballards a few years before statehood. His sister, Annie, worked there for a time. John Woodall played baseball for a few years. He and the Buckett brothers were on a Cherokee Indian team. He also operated the Indianhoma Barber shop until his death."
The neighbors down the hill (George Gentry) where John Woodall was killed heard shots. There were cigarette butts all around and John Woodall didn't smoke. [From Thelma Muskrat]
