Richard Eugene Marshall (aka "Gene"), son of Alvin Eugene and Hazel (Rogers) Marshall, married Tallulah Williams. His biography appears in the book "Fairland Remembered 1889-1989):"
"Richard Eugene, son of Alvin E. and Hazel Marshall, and Tallulah Corrina, daughter of Lee Owen and Delce Williams, were united in marriage June 3, 1954 at the R.L.D.S. Church in Fairland, Oklahoma by Patriarch Evangelist Dave Wilson.
"Gene graduated from high school in 1953, and Tallulah in 1955. Gene spent three years in the United States Army and after his discharge worked at the B.F.G. plant in Miami, Oklahoma until he took polio in 1959.
"In 1960 the employees of the plant at that time, many friends, and family members built their home on three lots in Fairland that Gene's folks bought, where the B & G Auto Parts business is now. In 1970 they moved their home south of Fairland to the country where they still live."
"The Lord blessed them with four wonderful children: Kenneth Eugene, born September 26, 1955; Krista Elaine, December 6, 1956; Kathy Elaine, June 26, 1959; and Kennett Don, May 14, 1962. The children were all blessed, when babies, by Patriarch Evangelist Dave Wilson as it is an ordinance of the church. Dave also attended Gene and Tallulah's 25th anniversary, given by their children.
"Gene, Tallulah and their children all had Mrs. Nacola Sapp in the first grade at Fairland. They are all graduates except Kathy, who was lost in an accident in 1976. Gene spent ten years on the school board.
"Through the years the children were active in sports, band, 4-H, F.F.A. and the Fairland Round-Up Club. "
