Calvin Osborne Higgins second marriage was to Ruth Virginia (Fellows) Schmidt, daughter of Albert Milton and Winifred Marie (Fagg) Fellows. There were three children born to Calvin Osborne Higgins' first marriage:

1. Dawn Arlene Higgins born May 12, 1946 and who married a man named Campbell
2. Charles Howard Higgins born September 9, 1947, and
3. Linda Susan Higgins born April 26, 1949 and who married a man named Potts.

Calvin died June 15, 1993 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His obituary appeared in the June 17, 1993 edition of the Albuquerque Journal.

     Martin b ca 1750 (the name MacGillivray was changed to McGilvary when they got to America) came first in 1789 bringing with him his wife Mary Dalrymple who he had m ca 1770 in Skye. They lived in Moore County They had 5 children

     Both Stephen and Priscilla Swain were members of the Round Prairie Christian Church in Bunker Hill, Illinois. Priscilla joined "from the Baptist church" in 1844, her husband also transfered his membership in 1850. Their son-in-law Johnson McGilvary was an elder in the church.
