Rachel Zumwalt, daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Lail) Zumwalt, was probably born in Bourbon County, Kentucky. She first married John Long. They had two children, Larence and Andrew J. Long, before he was hung in 1809. Widowed Rachel (Zumwalt) Long declined in writing on September 20, 1809 to
administer her deceased husband's estate.
Following John's death, she moved with her two sons to Warren County, Missouri in 1823.
Rachel's second marriage was to Newton Howell. They appear together on the 1850 Federal Census in District 99, Warren County, Missouri, living with her husband. That census shows 60 year old Rachel born in Kentuck
She is buried in Bowen/Howell Cemetery in Warren County, Missouri.

A Benjamin F. Howell appears on the 1880 Federal Census in Precinct 4, Wood County, Texas (341B) living with John M. and Martha J. Willard. That census shows 25 year-old Benjamin and his mother were born in Missouri and that his father was born in Tennessee.

Rosetes Boswell, probably the daughter of of Clement and Susana Boswell, appears with Thomas Kelly on the 1850 Federal Census in Warren County, Missouri (page 57). That census shows 21 year-old Rosetta was born in Missouri.
She appears on the 1860 Federal Census in Harrison, Vernon County, Missouri, living with her husband and children. That census shows 33 year-old Rosetta was born in Missouri.
She appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Moundville Township, Vernon County, Missouri (page 607). That census shows 43 year-old Rosetes was born in Maryland. The 1870 census also shows that Clement and Susana Boswell were living with Thomas and Rosetes (Boswell) Kelly and their children.
Rosetes also appears on the 1880 Montevallo Township (Enumeration District 221), Vernon County, Missouri Federal Census. That census shows 52 year-old "Rosetta" was born in Maryland as were her parents.
She also appears on the 1900 Federal Census (enumeration district 135, sheet 8B), still living in Moundville Township, with her husband, Thomas B. Kelly. That census shows 73 year-old "Rosetta" was born in October 1826 in Maryland, and that her parents were born in Maryland. She reported that she had been married for 50 years in 1900.
Rosetes appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 154, sheet 4A), living with her son, Thomas C. Kelly. That census shows 84 year-old widowed "Rezetter" and her parents were born in Maryland.

Franklin E. Kelly, son of Thomas B. and Rosetes (Boswell) Kelly, appears on the 1860 Federal Census in Harrison, Vernon County, Missouri, living with his parents. That census shows 11 year-old F. A. Kelly was born in Missouri.

John T. Kelly, son of Thomas B. and Rosetes (Boswell) Kelly, appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Moundville Township, Vernon County, Missouri (page 607). That census shows five year-old John was born in Missouri.

A John T. Kelly, of the right age, appears on the 1900 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 8B), living next door to Thomas B. and Rosetta Kelly. That census shows 34 year-old John was born in July 1865 in Missouri and that his father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in Maryland. John, a farmer, reported that he had been married for seven years. Appearing with him on the census is his 30 year-old wife, Jennie.

John T. Kelly appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Deerfield Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 146, sheet 6 B), as head of household. That census shows 43 year-old John, a farmer, had been married for 16 years and that he was born in Missouri. He reported that his father was born in the United States and that his mother was born in Maryland.
He appears on the 1920 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 176) as "John T. Kelley". That census shows 54 year-old John, a farmer, and his father were born in Missouri and that his mother was born in Maryland.
John T. Kelly appears on the 1930 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 33). That census shows 64 year-old John, a widower, and his father were born in Missouri and that his mother was born in Maryland.
He died March 4, 1936 from injuries in an automobile accident in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri. An affidavit signed by his daughter, Vida Mae Kelly, in 1936 and filed with his probate records in Vernon County, Missouri states that John T. Kelly was a widower and that Vida Mae was his only child.
He is buried in Becket Cemetery in Drywood Township, Vernon County, Missouri.
