William Franklin Marshall (aka "Red"), son of Avery Fairchild and Fannie May (Kelly) Marshall, appears on the 1920 Federal Census in Afton, Ottawa County, Oklahoma (enumeration district 104), living with his parents. Eleven year-old Franklin reported that he and his mother were born Oklahoma and that his father was born in Missouri.

His nickname, "Red," was derived from his red hair, as explained in an article in 1999 Neighbors Visions: "...people called him 'Red' because he had flaming red hair when he was younger. Half of his siblings, Marshall explained, got his father's Irish coloration and the other half got his mother's Cherokee features."

William graduated from Fairland High School, Fairland, Ottawa County, Oklahoma. He worked for the United States Postal Service from 1929 to 198

William appears on the 1930 Federal Census in Afton, Ottawa County, Oklahoma (enumeration district 2), living with his parents and giving his age as 21. He reported he was born in Oklahoma, that his father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in the Cherokee Nation.

He married Edna Sparkman, daughter of A. H. and Anna (Crotzer) Sparkman. They had no children.

William is mentioned in the book "Fairland Remembered, 1889-1989:"

"William Franklin (Red) Marshall, son of Ave and Fannie Kelly Marshall, was born October 23, 1909, northwest of Fairland in the Lone Star Community where he started school. The family moved to Fairland School District where he went to school, graduating 1927. He worked at farming, heavy duty equipment operator, cattle ranching, deputy county sheriff, county road maintenance, and for a number of years was a rural mail carrier out of the Fairland Post Office. He likes wolf hunting and is still involved in it."

His obituary appeared in the January 24, 2002 edition of the Grove Sun, Grove, Delaware County, Oklahoma. He is buried in Fairland Cemetery, Fairland, Ottawa County, Oklahoma.

That census shows ten year-old Eshmel and his parents were born in Illinois.

He married Pearl Ava Marshall, daughter of Avery Fairchild and Fannie May (Kelly) Marshall.

Verez is buried in Fairland Cemetery, Fairland, Ottawa County, Oklahoma.

Ezekial Fields, son of Richard Fields, Cheif of the Texas Cherokees, died in a prairie fire at age 50. He is burried with two others who died in the fire with him in a single grave in the old Fields Cemetery.

Minnie Mae Kelly, daughter of John Duke and Susan Elizabeth (Carrey) Kelly, appears on the 1902-07 Dawes Roll (card 167, roll 22295). She was 1/32 Cherokee.

She appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Township 5, Delaware County, Oklahoma (enumeration district 62, sheet 15A), living with her parents. That census shows 16 year-old Minnie M. Kelly was born in Oklahoma and that her parents were born in Missouri.

Minnie married Chester Stephenson, son of Daniel Alexander and Lavina Belle (Binkley) Stephenson.

She is mentioned as a survivor in both of her parent's obituaries (1937 and 1943), living in Grove, Delaware County, Oklahoma.

Her obituary appeared in the March 24, 1966 edition of the Grove Sun, Grove, Delaware County, Oklahoma. She is buried in the Buzzard Cemetery in Delaware County, Oklahoma.

She is mentioned as a survivor in both of her parent's obituaries (1937 and 1943), living in Grove, Delaware County, Oklahoma.

Joseph Elbert Kelly, son of John Duke and Susan Elizabeth (Carrey) Kelly, appears on the 1902-07 Dawes roll (card 167, roll 22297). He was 1/32 Cherokee.

He appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Township 5, Delaware County, Oklahoma (enumeration district 62, sheet 3B), living with his parents. That census shows ten year-old Joseph E. Kelly was born in Oklahoma. No other information known.

He was living in Borger, Hutchinson County, Texas in 1937 when his mother passed away.

His death was reported in his father's obituary in March 25, 1943 edition of The Grove Sun.

Caroline (aka "Callie") Kelly, daughter of Benjamin and Amelia (Carrico) Kelly, appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Hawk Point, Prairie Township, Lincoln County, Missouri. That census shows five year old Caroline was born in Missouri.

She appears on the 1880 Federal Census in Prairie, Lincoln County, Missouri (enumeration district 14, supervisor's district 3, page 18), living with her parents. That census shows 14 year-old "Carline" and her parents were born in Missouri.

Caroline married Jordan McGavoc Witt, son of Jordan R. and Celia A. Witt.

Caroline appears on the 1900 Federal Census in Prairie Township, Lincoln County, Missouri, (enumeration district 46, sheet 2B), living with her husband. That census shows 35 year-old Calie Witt was born in March 1865 in Missouri and that her parents were born in Missouri.

She appears on the 1910 Federal Census, living with her husband and daughter, in Bedford, Lincoln County, Missouri (enumeration district 82, sheet 8B). That census shows 44 year-old "Callie" and her parents were born in Missouri. She reported that she had been married only once, for 22 years, and was the mother of one child.

Caroline also appears on the 1920 Federal Census in Bedford, Lincoln County, Missouri (enumeration district 95, sheet 10B). She was 55 at the time the census was taken, and living with her husband, Jordan Mcgarvac Witt. That census shows her mother, Amelia, a widow, was also living with her.

She is buried in Troy City Cemetery, Troy, Lincoln County, Missouri.
