Marcy Leigh Penrod, daughter of George Frances and Margaret Ann (Corkle) Penrod, married Kevin Taylor, son of Kenneth and Melba (Moore) Taylor. Two sons were born to their union.

John Thornhill appears on the 1850 Federal Census in Warren County, Missouri (enumeration district 99). That census shows 17 year-old John, born in Missouri, living with Jane Thornhill, age 50, and William Thornhill, age 23. Jane was probably John's mother.

John first married Rachel Kelly, daughter of Thomas H. and Nancy (Zumwalt) Kelly, on June 20, 1861 in Warren County, Missouri.
   
He appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Hawk Point, Prairie Township, Lincoln County, Missouri, with his wife, Rachel. That census shows 34 year old John was born in Missouri.

John's second marriage was to Nancy, on December 3, 1874 in Lincoln County, Missouri (obtained from the LDS web site), who had previously been married to a man named Robert Wilson.

He appears on the 1880 Federal Census in Richland Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 216). That census shows 42 year-old John had married a second time, within 1 year of the census, to a woman named Nancy. Nancy had probably been married before to a man named Wilson, because the 1880 census shows children by the name of Wilson living in the household indicating they were John's step-children. Although John's age doesn't quite match up with the 1870 census, this is the only census record found for a John Thornhill with a daughter Alva M. Thornhill (whose age is about right).

John appears on the 1900 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 12A), living with his daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Alva M. (Thornhill) Wilker. That census shows 64 year-old widowed John was born in March 1836 in Missouri and that his father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in North Carolina.

John does not appear on the 1910 Federal Census in Missouri. A cemetery record was found for John Thornhill in the Worsley Cemetery in Vernon county. That cemetery record shows his date of birth was March 2, 1833 and that his date of death was December 10, 1906.

Junetta D. Thornhill, daughter of John and Rachel (Kelly) Thornhill, appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Hawk Point, Prairie Township, Lincoln County, Missouri. That census shows 8 year old Junetta was born in Missouri. She also appears on the 1880 Federal Census in Richland Township, Vernon County, Missouri (Enumeration District 216). That census shows 17 year-old "Netta" and her parents were born in Missouri.

She married John M. Angel, son of Lawrence and Anna C. Angel. A marriage record for Nettie Thornhill was found in Vernon County, Missouri. That marriage record shows Nettie Thornhill married John M. Angel July 21, 1885.

Nettie D. Angel appears on the 1900 Federal Census in Moundville Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 2B), living with her husband John M. Angel. That census shows 37 year-old Nettie and her parents were born in Missouri and that she had been married for 15 years. She reported that she had two children, both of whom were living in 1900.

She appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Washington Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 158, sheet 9B), living with her husband, John Angel. That census shows 47 year-old Nettie and her parents were born in Missouri and that she had been married for 25 years. She reported that she had had two children, both of which were living in 1910.

Nettie Angel appears on the 1920 Federal Census in Washington Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 181, sheet 4A) as head of household. That census shows 57 year-old widowed Nettie owned her own home and that she and her parents were born in Missouri. Living next door to Nettie was her daughter, May Thomas, with a son and daughter of her own.

She also appears on the 1930 Federal Census, still living in Washington Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 40), living with her daughter, May Thomas. That census shows 68 year-old Nettie D. Angel, a widow, and her parents were born in Missouri.

A cemetery record was found for Nettie Angel in Welborn Cemetery, Vernon County, Missouri. That cemetery record shows Nettie was born in 1862 and that she died in 1940.

Alva Mae Thornhill, daughter of John and Rachel (Kelly) Thornhill, appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Hawk Point, Prairie Township, Lincoln County, Missouri. That census shows 8 month old Alva was born in Missour

She also appears on the 1880 Federal Census in Richland Township, Vernon County Missouri (Enumeration District 216). That census shows she was nine years-old and that she and her parents were born in Missouri.

Alva married Charles Wilker, son of John H. and Marie Wilker. She appears with him on the 1900 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 12A), giving her age as 30. That census shows she was born in September 1869 in Missouri and that her father, John Thornhill, was living with she and her husband. She reported that she had had two children, both of which were living in 1900.

She appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 154, sheet 15A). That census shows 40 year-old Alver Wilker was born in Missouri and that she had been married for 23 years. She reported that she had had two children, both of which were living in 1910.

Alva Mae Wilker appears on the 1920 Federal Census, still living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 176, sheet 12A), with her husband, Charles. That census shows 49 year-old Alva Mae and her parents were born in Missouri. She was not found on the 1930 census.

A cemetery record for Alver M. Wilker was found in Worsley Cemetery, Vernon County, Missouri. That record provides her year of birth as 1869 and year of death as 1941.

Dora Pipes married Sidney G. Denham, son of Arthur William and Alverretta (Kelly) Denham. She appears on the 1930 Federal Census in Shawnee, Pottawatamie County, Oklahoma (enumeration district 45) as Dora Denham, living with her husband. That census shows 27 year-old Dora and her mother was born in Arkansas and that her father was born in Indiana. She reported that she was 18 when she married and that she was a sales lady in an electric office.

Dora is buried in buried in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri.

Leatha Jennie appears on the 1900 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135) as "Jennie", living with her husband, John T. Kelly. That census shows 30 year-old Jennie and her mother were born in Missouri and that her father was born in Illinois. She reported that she had been married for seven years in 1900.

She also appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Deerfield Township, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 146, sheet 6 B) as "Leatha J. Kelly," living with her husband. That census shows 40 year-old Leatha had been married for 16 years and that she and her mother were born in Missouri. She reported that her father was born in Illinois and that she was the mother of two children, one of which was still living in 1910.

Leatha J. Kelley appears on the 1920 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 176), living with her husband and daughter. That census shows 52 year-old Letha and her mother were born in Missouri and that her father was born in Illinois.

Charles Wilker appears on the 1870 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri, living with his parents. That census shows six year-old Charles was born in Missouri.

He also appears on the 1880 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri, living with his parents. That census shows 16 year-old Charles was born in Missouri and that his parents were born in Hannover.

He married Alva Mae Thornhill, daughter of John and Rachel (Kelly) Thornhill. A marriage record for Charles W. Wilker and Alver M. Thornhill was found in Vernon County, Missouri. That record shows they were married February 8, 1887.

Charles also appears on the 1900 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 12A). That census shows 36 year-old Charles was born in Missouri and that his parents were born in Germany. A farmer in 1900, he reported that he had been married for 13 years.

He appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 154, sheet 15A), as Charlie W. Wilker. He reported his age as 46, that he was born in Missouri and that his parents were born in Germany.

Charles appears on the 1920 Federal Census, still living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 176, sheet 12A), as Charles Wilker, giving his age as 56 and birth state as Missouri. He reported that his parents were born in Germany and that he was a farmer.

A search of the 1930 Federal census in Vernon County, Missouri for Charles Walker or Charles Wilker has resulted no successful "hits".

A cemetery record for Charles W. Wilker was found in Worsley Cemetery, Vernon County, Missouri. That record provides his year of birth as 1863 and year of death as 1958.

Francis Elmer Wilker, son of Charles and Alva Mae ThornhillI, was enrolled in the Prairie Flower School in 1898 in Vernon County, Missouri. That school record shows 10 year-old "Elmer" Wilker had been enrolled by C. W. Wilker.

Francis E. Wilker appears on the 1900 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 12A), living with his parents. That census shows 11 year-old Francis was born in Missouri.

He married Eula. They appear together on the 1910 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 154, sheet 15A), living with his parents. That census shows him as F. Elmer Wilker. That census shows 21 year-old Francis was born in Missouri, as were his parents, and that he had been married less than a year.

He has not been found on the 1920 Federal Census under the names Francis or Elmer Wilker or Walker.

Geneva Beryl Wilker, youngest of two daughters born to Charles and Alva Mae (Thornhill) Wilker, appears in the 1898 enumeration for Prairie Flower School in Vernon County, Missouri. That enumeration shows C.W. Wilker had Byrl (age 7) enrolled in the school.

Geneva B. Wilker appears on the 1900 Federal Census living in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 135, sheet 12A), living with her parents. That census shows nine year-old Geneva was born in Missouri.

She appears on the 1910 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumeration district 154, sheet 15A), living with her parents. That census shows 19 year-old Beyrl was born in Missouri as were her parents.

Geneva Beyrl Wilker married Robert Lee Linn, son of John Granville and Sarah Ann (Harrison) Linn. She appears with her husband, Robert, as "Beyrl" Linn on the 1920 Federal Census in Moundville, Vernon County, Missouri (enumberation district 176, page 1B). That census shows 29 year old Geneva and her parents were born in Missouri. She was a Methodist and had no children.

She appears on the 1930 Federal Census in Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas (enumeration district 20), living with her husband. That census shows 39 year-old Geneva as "Beryl" Linn, and that she and her parents were born in Missouri.

Her obituary appeared in the May 10, 1966 edition of The Nevada Daily Mail. She is buried in the Worsley Cemetery, Vernon County, Missouri.
